Lydia Hsieh

Heyy! My name is Lydia and I graduated from Barker College in 2025 with an ATAR of 99.85 and I am studying a Bachelor of Biomedicine / Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Melbourne.

I believe confidence is the most important element of a student’s success. That's why I make sure my students don’t just practise questions extensively, but truly understand the underlying concepts of each topic and how the skills connect across different areas. This approach helps them build real confidence and sit their exams feeling calm, clear-minded, and prepared.

And I am proof that this approached works! It helped me improve my physics mark from mid 70s in Year 11 to getting a 94 in the HSC, going from your average maths student to rank 1, and slowly improving my english marks from the 60s in year 9 to ranking 2nd in english extension.

I also know how important it is to ask questions particularly in the lead-up to exams. Students are always welcome to ask any questions via text, and I will try my best to make sure each is provided with a clear, thorough and detailed explanation.
